ABOUT
WHO
Howdy! My name is Pedro Picarelli and many know me simply as Pete, I'm a 2020 Texas A&M graduate in Visualization (Gig 'Em Ags!)
and Motion Designer, VFX/3D Artist.
While in school, I had the privilege to get to work in, and managing, teams to create 3D animated shorts in a studio environment.
Most recently I have been fortunate to enough to get to work on several commercial and film projects where I got to take on concepts, design frames, produce the animation/FX, and take the lead technically and creatively to bring the client's idea to life. Got to put many hats on and gain experience in every step of film production while at the same time getting to work with many wonderful, creative people.
WHAT
My work consists of both 2D and 3D VFX, Motion Graphics and Compositing, along with some individual 3D art pieces. As a generalist, I tackle a variety of aspects in CGI and post production, be it FX, lighting, shading, color grading, etc.
WHERE
I live in Austin, TX. Originally I am from Porto Alegre, Brazil and lived in beautiful Buenos Aires, Argentina for a good chunk of my life.
HOW
Most of my current work is done using SideFX Houdini, Cinema4D, After Effects, Photoshop, Nuke, and many others for more specialized tasks.
